WAGS

Welcome!

Established in 1991, The Wednesday Afternoon Golf Society (WAGS) is a social golf society which arranges regular golf events for members throughout the year. Members may bring guests, subject to availability of spaces

WAGS members range from low handicap golfers to beginners and are largely made up of long-term Hong Kong residents. Yearly we hold some 40 events, both in Hong Kong and around Asia. The focus of every event, which distinguishes WAGS from most other golf societies, is to raise money for good causes. This happens through structured fundraising as well as (multiple) fines for inappropriate behaviour or other misdemeanours.

A feature of our calendar is the annual WAGS Annual Golfing for Good Day, which is now in its 15th year. Held in November each year, It has become the biggest amateur golf day in Hong Kong with 144 players taking part.

OUR CAUSES

Golfing for Good

Our Golf for Good program is now in its 17th year and has raised in excess of HK $13m for various beneficiaries.

Most of the fundraising comes from our annual Golfing for Good day which has become Hong Kong's biggest amateur golf event.

It is a unique occasion for participants and sponsors alike, who enjoy such novelties as our crazy putting contest, the ever-popular sausage sizzle and beat the pro hole, as well as having fantastic prizes and auction items on offer.

The 2024 Golfing for Good event will be on 15th November 2024 at the same venue and we hope to see you there.
